Description
Borough Bound stages a striking contrast of deep shadow and low, slanting light as commuters move through the underpass of a railway bridge, their silhouettes raking long across the street. A traffic signal glows at the corner, and beyond the dark span of the bridge the city opens into a brighter haze of shopfronts and pavement.
Kenton lets the wet ink streak across the road to pull the eye straight through the underpass, capturing the everyday drama of a London crossing in motion — ordinary commuters transformed into striking silhouettes by the play of light.
Worked entirely in ink on Indian paper, part of the Artisan Paper Collection and the Street Scene series, this original is float mounted in a black frame.
