Description

Distant Mountains is a study in gentle recession — sunlit fields give way to a tree-sheltered farmhouse, its red-tiled roof glowing warm against the cooler blues of the hills beyond, before the land finally dissolves into distant, hazy mountains. Paul Kenton's oil on board handling is loose and textured in the foreground, softening into atmospheric blues as the eye travels back through the composition.
