Flatiron Illuminated

The unmistakable wedge of the Flatiron Building rears up through a smoky, monochrome sky, its sheer flank catching a sliver of light while traffic gathers at its base. Sweeping brushed clouds and a soft tonal wash lend the scene a cinematic, almost dreamlike charge, the surrounding towers fading into pale grey distance.

Paul Kenton works in pooled and dragged ink, balancing crisp architectural edges against loose, gestural atmosphere. The street level dissolves into reflection and shadow, drawing the eye upward to that famous prow.
