Description

Hilltop Homestead settles into the gentle rhythms of the Tuscan countryside — a terracotta-roofed farmhouse cradled by trees, rolling fields stretching out below, and the hazy blue line of the Apuan Alps closing the horizon. Paul Kenton builds the scene with his characteristic palette-knife texture, giving the fields and foliage real physical presence against the softer, atmospheric distance.

It's a composition about scale and stillness: the solitary homestead set against mountains that have watched over this land for millennia, human habitation held gently within an ancient, unhurried landscape.

Painted in oil on canvas board and measuring 40.5 x 30.5cm, Hilltop Homestead is framed in white ornate moulding — a warm, contemplative escape to the Italian hills.
