Homeward Journey captures the quiet, in-between hour of a station at day's end: two trains wait beneath a great arched roof as commuters drift, silhouetted, toward the exit, their reflections smudged across wet stone. A station clock keeps watch over the soft grey light, and the long curve of the vault draws the eye down the tracks.

Worked entirely in tonal ink washes, Kenton balances loose, atmospheric passages of light and reflection against the confident architectural drawing of the canopy overhead — a study in structure and stillness rather than street-level energy.

Part of the London series within the Artisan Paper Collection, this original ink painting on Indian paper is float mounted in a black frame.
