Description

'Impressionist Waters' is Paul Kenton's homage to Claude Monet, capturing the serene surface of a lily pond in thick, tactile impasto. Pink and white water lilies rest among dense lily pads across a deep blue-turquoise pond, its surface reflecting the greens of overhanging foliage.

At 247 x 125 cm, mixed media on boxed canvas, this is a substantial original painting that trades Kenton's usual cityscape energy for stillness and reflection — the scale inviting the viewer to be absorbed in the water's surface.
