Description
In the Stillness of Height sets a sharp summit alone above a jagged ridge, its snow-streaked face catching pale light beneath a sweeping, brooding sky. Layers of rock fall away in shadowed folds while wisps of cloud drift across the heights, the air thin and silent.
It is a study in solitude and scale, the mountain commanding the stillness around it. Paul Kenton works in ink and charcoal alone, slashing diagonal strokes to carve out the rock and softening the heavens into smoky tonal washes.
This is an original ink and charcoal painting on Indian paper, part of the Artisan Paper Collection within Kenton's Mountainscape series. It is float mounted with a black frame, ready to hang.
