Description

Italian Vista is an original oil painting by Paul Kenton, showcasing the sunlit beauty of the Tuscan countryside. Thick, textured palette-knife strokes build layered ridgelines and golden fields, with hazy blue mountains receding under a soft sky.

The composition moves in bands — distant hills fading to lavender-grey, a patchwork of gold and green farmland, and dark cypress trees marking the middle ground — giving the painting real depth despite its energetic, close-up texture. It's a technique Paul favours for landscape work: the physicality of the knife strokes captures the heat and movement of the scene as much as its colour.

At 15 x 23cm and presented in a white ornate frame, this original is a compact but vivid record of rural Italy, suited to collectors building a landscape grouping or seeking an entry point into Paul's original paintings.
