Description

Italy Trip is a small oil study painted by Paul Kenton en plein air, capturing a fleeting view across the Tuscan countryside. Loose, confident brushwork sets hazy blue hills against warm, sunlit fields, with a dark line of trees anchoring the composition and a streak of ochre path leading the eye into the scene.

Working outdoors and at speed, Paul distils the landscape to its essential shapes and temperature — cool distance, warm foreground — rather than fine detail. The result has the immediacy of a sketch made in the moment, later used by the artist as reference for larger studio work.

At a compact 15 x 15cm, this original is presented in a white ornate frame, making it a striking small-scale addition to a collection or a first step into owning an original Paul Kenton landscape.
