Description

Joy is a large-scale abstract still life built from loose, confident brushwork in mixed media on canvas. Two vessels of roses and tulips anchor the composition, surrounded by a dense weave of teal, magenta and lilac strokes that push the flowers toward pure abstraction.

Paul Kenton created the piece as a burst of energetic mark-making, letting colour and gesture carry the emotion rather than botanical detail. The result reads at a distance as a vivid field of colour, and up close as a flurry of individual, decisive strokes.

At 244 x 152.5 cm, this is a substantial statement piece for a large wall, sold as a unique original on boxed canvas.
