New York Noir

New York Noir catches headlamps glowing from a car easing down a darkened, tree-lined street, a slender tower spire rising through the haze of the city beyond. Tall buildings press in on either side, their edges dissolving into smoky shadow while the wet road below mirrors every fragment of light.

The atmosphere is pure noir: brooding, filmic and full of mystery. Paul Kenton renders the scene entirely in sepia and deep charcoal greys, silvered highlights scratched through soft, smouldering washes to pull the eye down the street toward the distant spire.
