Description

Nocturne Blossoms gathers water lilies across a moonlit pond, its jewel-toned pads in pink, gold, green and red drifting over deep blue and purple water. Iridescent metallic colour shimmers across the surface throughout, culminating in a single vivid pink lily in bloom at the centre of the composition.

Worked in mixed media and metallics on boxed canvas at a generous 156 x 143 cm, the painting pays clear homage to Monet's classic water lily studies while pushing the palette into something more dimensional and contemporary — the metallics catching and shifting light in a way oil alone cannot.

Part of Paul's Landscapes Collection, it's a quieter, more meditative work than his cityscapes, built entirely from colour, reflection and stillness rather than movement.
