Description
Piccadilly Pulse distils one of London's busiest junctions to its barest, most electric essence, crowds and traffic caught in a flurry of rapid, calligraphic ink marks. A bus and the suggestion of grand facades anchor the chaos, while crisscrossing strokes scatter across the wet road like the rush of footsteps and headlights.
This is the most spontaneous piece in the set, Paul Kenton trusting the speed and flick of the ink alone to carry the energy of the street — movement rendered almost as pure gesture, with barely a solid line in sight.
