Reflections on the Thames
London2026
Description
Reflections on the Thames is an original oil on aluminium panorama by Paul Kenton, part of his London collection. The composition looks along the river as the sky turns from lavender through fierce orange to red, with The Shard's glass spire catching the last light on the left and the towers of the City of London gathered on the right.
Painted on aluminium, the metal support gives the water and glazed facades a natural sheen, so the reflected sunset seems to lift off the surface of the river itself. Streaks of red cloud break across the sky, doubled in the water below, while a lone boat sits quietly at the centre of the composition.
At 189 x 67cm, the elongated panoramic format suits the sweep of the skyline, and the piece is presented in its black floating frame — a striking, one-of-a-kind statement piece for anyone drawn to London's ever-changing skyline.
