Description

Rugged Rhythms is a bold, expressive plein air study, painted during Paul Kenton's 2024 travels in the Alps. Working in oil on paper, he captures the raw drama of the mountains with broad, instinctive strokes and a palette built around deep charcoal and navy, cut through with flashes of burnt orange and amber snowlight.

The unusually wide format adds a cinematic sweep, drawing the eye across jagged peaks and shadowed valleys, all distilled into a compact yet powerful composition.

Part of the Mountainscape collection, this original comes framed in a white ornate frame and is ready to hang.
