Description

Serene Expanse presents a wide panoramic view across the Swiss Alps, painted en plein air during Paul Kenton's 2024 trip to the mountains. The composition unfolds through a sequence of layered ridges and distant peaks stretching across the horizon, giving the painting a calm sense of scale and openness.

Cool slate-blue tones settle into the valleys while softer ochre light drifts across the slopes, revealing the shifting forms of the alpine landscape.
