Description
Silent Harbour settles into a tonal stillness: a pale disc of moon hangs low over a hushed estuary, its light caught on water so calm that the moored boats and their masts double in soft reflection. Reeds darken the banks, distant hills dissolve into mist, and the whole scene holds its breath.
Worked in monochrome ink washes, Paul Kenton moves the painting from a luminous sky to a brooding, ink-dark foreground, letting the pigment bleed and pool to evoke damp air and fading evening light.
An original ink on Indian paper from the Artisan Paper Collection, float mounted with a black frame — a one-off piece that will not be reproduced once sold.
