Description

Street in Yellow is an original mixed media and metallics painting on boxed canvas by Paul Kenton, from his New York collection. Three yellow cabs push forward through the rain, headlights blazing across darkened tarmac as the buildings rise steeply on either side in cool greys and slate.

The warmth of the cab lights and scattered neon signage provides the only relief from the muted architecture, reflected in long streaks across the wet street below. Worked at scale on boxed canvas, the paint surface carries real physical texture that photographs can't fully convey.

At 122 x 183cm, this large-format original is a striking, immersive take on a classic New York scene.
