Description

Thames in Texture stretches wide across the river at sunset, the Shard catching the day's last light as it rises beside Tower Bridge on the South Bank skyline. Streaks of orange and pink cut through a cooling blue sky, the whole scene doubled in a rippling reflection across the Thames.

Painted in oil on aluminium, the metal support gives the water and sky a subtle sheen the paint doesn't fully cover, heightening the sense of light on the river. Kenton builds the buildings with confident, blocky strokes, leaving the detail to resolve at a distance.

At 152.5 x 76cm, this original rewards a long wall - a genuinely panoramic view of London's most photographed stretch of skyline.
