Times Square Bustle

Times Square Bustle sends crowds surging along a deep urban canyon, their figures rendered as dark, hurrying shapes against the glow of towering facades and stacked billboards. Layered, gestural marks build a sense of restless energy as the buildings climb skyward and the perspective pulls the eye toward a bright, distant heart of the scene.

Worked in soft, tonal greys and smoky blacks, Paul Kenton trades colour for mood, capturing the relentless motion and human density of Times Square at full tilt.

This is an original ink and charcoal painting on Indian paper, part of the Artisan Paper Collection within Kenton's New York series. It is float mounted with a black frame, ready to hang.
