Description

London Ablaze sets Westminster alight beneath a searing sunset sky. Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament rise in deep red and rust against streaks of orange and violet cloud, the whole scene doubled in a glowing reflection across the Thames as it slips beneath Westminster Bridge.

Painted in oil on aluminium, Paul lets the raw metal surface show through in places, so the water and stonework carry a genuine metallic gleam rather than a painted approximation of one — buildings and reflections alike seem to hold their own light.

At 152.5 x 61cm, this wide-format original is part of the London Collection and is also available as a limited edition print.
