Description

Windy City Blues captures Chicago in a quiet, atmospheric moment as dusk settles between steel, stone and skyline. The elevated tracks slice diagonally through the composition, guiding the eye toward the softened silhouette of the city beyond.

Muted blues and smoky greys dominate the scene, punctuated by warm glows from street lamps and passing trains that bring life to the cool urban palette. Bare winter branches frame the foreground, adding movement and subtle tension against the structured geometry of the architecture.

Painted in oil on canvas, the result is a moody, reflective cityscape that balances stillness with the steady pulse of metropolitan life — part of Paul Kenton's ongoing International Cityscape collection.
