Canal Stillness

A broad canal opens between weathered palazzo walls, leading the eye toward the soft silhouette of a great domed church rising through the haze. Moored boats sit motionless on the water, their reflections breaking the surface in long vertical strokes beneath a pale, luminous sky.

Paul Kenton captures a Venetian morning in muted greys and gentle washes, the loose handling of the buildings dissolving into mist while the foreground darkens into quiet depth.
