Description

Urban Approach looks out along an elevated subway line as a train pulls in from the right, its dark silhouette cutting across a sky burning red and orange at the end of the day. The Manhattan skyline rises behind, cooler blues and purples in the buildings pushing back against the warmth of the sunset.

A streak of gold light runs along the tracks toward the viewer, echoed in the glowing windows of the skyscrapers beyond. Kenton's palette-knife texture gives the whole scene real punch, buildings and train alike built from thick, confident strokes rather than fine detail.
